Vendor Affinity Program Spotlight: ADAS Safe
by Alana Quartuccio
ADAS Safe was built to help independent collision centers stop losing chunks of annual revenue by failing to keep up in the calibration space.
“We observed that collision centers were having a massive problem with cycle times going up, on average, by two or three days, causing them to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars in annual revenue,” CEO and Founder Philip Brossy recognizes. “We built ADAS Safe and Trak, the software that powers collision centers to capture calibrations, to decrease their cycle time and liability. Every ADAS Safe customer is also partnered with our Trak software. We built them parallel to help fulfill the ADAS identification and operations gap.”
Brossy, who has a strong investment background, saw the potential in the ADAS repair space. “I saw the great opportunity in providing ADAS calibration, electrical diagnostics and programming services. Two thirds of all vehicles require an ADAS calibration after a collision or auto repair and only about 20 percent are performed.”
The company got its start in Jacksonville, Florida, only two and half years ago and has grown rapidly ever since. About nine months ago, ADAS Safe began to move into the Massachusetts market where Brossy sees huge potential. (Plus, he happens to be a Patriots fan!)
The company’s ultimate goal is to serve independent collision repair shops. “Massachusetts does not have a lot of MSOs and our goal is to mainly partner with mom and pop shops because we believe they are the best customers. We can provide the most value to them.”
ADAS Safe is now in multiple states including parts of Rhode Island, southern New Hampshire and New York, having expanded into Hudson River Valley, Poughkeepsie and Albany.
With their software and skilled technicians, ADAS Safe is equipped to handle everything ADAS related for the independent shop.
“We are the organic last stop in your production,” Brossy notes. “Primarily, we have mobile trucks so we do the calibrations, electrical diagnostics and wire harness repair work on site. If needed, we can also bring cars to our shops, although the best method is mobile. That way you don’t have liability when you transfer a car that might have an impaired radar. The software helps you identify the required calibration, quote it automatically and send a supplement to insurance companies.”
They also provide the documentation for every single vehicle along with multiple photos for each calibration, and pre-and post-scans to prove the work was done. “The software has a tracker so you can see where the vehicle is in production. You can also schedule online in one click. The only work the shop has to do is hit the schedule button. We handle 99.9 percent of everything else.”
The company is OEM focused. “We have OEM everything. We now have the OEM programming software for every single manufacturer and every single make, OEM programming tools and calibration targets so we can meet all compliance liability factors and do every single vehicle.”
The team at ADAS Safe is fully committed to getting the job done right. “We care deeply. We’ll go the extra mile, stay after five o’clock and do whatever we need to do to get it done. We also have an ownership culture where the people who work here own what they do. They hold a high place of integrity and view their job as a career.”
ADAS Safe recently joined MABA’s Vendor Affinity Program as a Silver sponsor. “We see the value in partnering with an organization that cares about the quality of work and supports the actual mom and pop shops who are the backbone of much of the association,” Brossy recognizes.
Helping shops obtain the documentation to back up necessary calibrations and procedures is also an important reason for being active with the Massachusetts auto body community.
“Insurance companies are always scrutinizing bills and not pushing for required calibration and safety system resets. We give you the documentation, the process, the position statements and the credible work so that you can get reimbursed. We want to be able to help empower shops with the tools they need to show the insurance companies what is required.”
